Traditional style, knows of hazing... I PROMISE you.... but my mom taught me better not to let ANYONE touch me when I get to an HBCU marching band... hazing is not new abd if you can't take the heat, then get df out the kitchen..... bt anyways, I still wanna be apart of the "INCOMPARABLE MARCHING 100" .. this doesn't change my views, nd I know for a fact that I won't get hazed because my mom taught me well

When this is over FAMU's band will never be the same. That once 400 piece band will probally shrink to 100. BCU will be the best next year because all of those high schoolers from Atlanta and Florida ecspecially will be going to BCU instead of FAMU. Its really sad, that ppl will have to say "FAMU WAS" instead of "FAMU IS". RIP Robert Champion :(

Enough with the hazing already

Haven't enough people died from pledging and hazing - that is supposed to be illegal according to those organizations bylaws, the universities, and local, state, and federal law

And by the way, everytime something happens on a hbcu campus and the media scrutinizes hbcu's as a whole for it, stop trying to compare white schools and what they do. Black colleges are more scrutinized because "they" don't agree with funding hbcu's in the first place - so just stop

First Hey Sebastian!!! I agree with you, but I also agree constructive hazing I DO NOT agree with senseless hazing, you do not have to beat people just for the hell of it. But a pledge process is necessary to build a sisterhood/brotherhood. You can't have a real bond sitting in a classroom. So I can either tell you what sisterhood is or I can show you. I had a process but I can assure you I didn't just get beat senseless, but in order to be your Sister's Keeper you got to go through something

Im sure that the angels are doin a "mean" dance routine shout, after playing "Praise Is What I Do!" ...and that devil is still a liar, cause The Show is not over...it has just begun!

The Orange County Police Department did not do a good job at investigating because if it was a result of hazing then certain people should have never left Orlando. I was chorale style too and neither I nor my freshmen siblings were hazed like that in the Marching 100. Dr. White didn't join the band until 1959, you should check your facts. Just because you couldn't hack it, doesn't make it right for you bad mouth them. Besides they have concert bands soooo you def could've continued playing.
