the essence of most of these people is the desire to help others. what if you lost your job as an officer, and could not make payments on your house and had no place to stay, eventually an employed officer would eventually be assigned (with the backing of crown) to use force (which includes deadly force) to remove you from your home. You can be killed for resisting homelessness and 'legally' thats OK. Zeitgeist is a new look at old problems...have you seen the Zeitgeist videos ?

would be nice if good cops could get voted up by the general public and assholes get the boot (and jail time if they are violent)...why does the RoyalCMP cadet school need to have an abusive 'drill sargent' screaming inches from your face? Why does the Royalcmp oath swear to protect the crown and NOT the people? Why does the oath say (I'm paraphrasing here) "to not have compassion" (for the alleged criminal)???
