Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, was a guest on MSNBC's "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell" to discuss former Gov. Mitt Romney's record on choice. Though former Gov. Romney once claimed to be pro-choice, it is clear that, if elected president, he would attack a woman's right to choose.

The pro-choice movement began in the Republican Party. After Roe however, the Dems adopted a pro-Roe position, so in order to avoid having an identical position to the Dems, some GOP Elites inserted anti-choice language into the GOP Platform. That however, has not prevented many pro-choice candidates from running for President and Governor.
Many Democrats are also anti-choice, particularly in the South and Pennsylvania.
