I was thinking about that, but the ability to sit and stand is crucial, since doing either too long is bad for you.

Maybe a tall desk only would work if you can get a ergonomic high chair or stool.

The deck is about 4 inches tall. The 'inset' into the floor is actually a RAISED floor set on top of the regular floor.

I am a doctor who recently bought 2 for my offices, and I really believe they are great. I also believe that although the cost of a variable height desk is expensive, I think it is crucial for the reality of most people. Having the ability to sit AND stand at your desk is a must for most people. You can build your floor around it easily and make it perfectly level.

Great! Now how do you get it in the floor? How are you taking it to market? How do I get info?

Love it but the desk is too expensive. I'd rather get the tread (still expensive at $700) and use shelving or similar material as a raised desk.
