BLUE TOP DRIVE IN VIDEO 5

This video is for a historical purposes. Some of the Carhops pictured in the Video clips met their future husbands here at the Blue Top. Their children are now customers. Clips are from a tape from 1986. The original was made by Phillip and Mary ? The full version may have been aired on a Local Public Access station. The Video includes an interview of Ben and Wendy Johnsen detailing the beginning of the Blue Top Drive-In. The 1st Blue Top Drive-In was built in 1936 not 38, but may not have been named the " Blue Top " until 1938. Some Clips salvaged from the tape includes some from the Al's Drive-In which was located on Torrence Avenue in Lansing Illinois. The original Video Tape was given to Ben Johnsen by Phillip? in 1986 or 87' Mr. Bernard Johnsen passed away in December of 1993. The original music was dubbed over with royalty free music for licensing reasons.
