@FirebrandB37 Yes, I found it in your another video clip. Juutilainen later mentioned that he didn't know what type of the plane was at the time he encountered it. Some Russian pilots also steering P-39 Cobra then, P-39 actually was way awkwardly designed, not sure did P-39 ever use for the War against Finland.

@kuluku In an interview in that I based the videos, he explains cleraly that, a P38. It is very rare, but he told he didn't know the plane, but Intelligence identified like that after his description. An he used to be very close before open fire!

@FirebrandB37 Juutilainen and his comrades were all amazing airmen. He was once beleaguered by 22 Russian planes, shot down 2 of them and evacuated soundly! Had he ever shot down P-38 Lighting? The US government also supported the CCCP with this plane and Finnish pilots met with P-38 in the Continuation War.

@kuluku Again, I think so. I write exactly those main factors, apart from the number "94", his plane never was touched by enemy's bullets. Even once his plane han an engine failre, was attacked and he shot down his attacker! Really superb. And as you say, Finnish Aces had to fly mostly second line fighters, except from Bf109 G2.

@FirebrandB37 I mean in comparison with those top German Aces, Juutilanen's record wasn't very distinguished. However, he was never being shot down, never bailed out, and never lost any of his partner planes, which were miracles! Some documents said that Jutilanen's record was actually 94.75. Finnish Aces usually using not very good planes but obtained amazing scores, in which they were superior to great British, American, Russian, and German Aces.
-
@kuluku Well, you say "only 94". That's the top register in history, except from several top German aces. Sadly, he's almost unknown. They say "History is written by winners", and WWII is mainly published by USA, British and USSR. Only recently myths about that dramatic time are being revealed.
-
@FirebrandB37 Yes, I regard him the most talented fighter aircraft pilot during WWII, although he only got 94 kills. If people know his story I think they will agree with me. Juutilaninen the true great!

@kuluku Absolutely! He deserves being a real legend.

@LivetysWiretys The flight simulator (game) is "IL2-1946" and the finnish air force skins for those planes are downloaded from mission4todaydotcom.
