Lia feeding herself

Lia is 5 and a half years old. She is a special needs child. She is considered severely retarded and autistic. We are very proud of her progress and are helping her the best we can. In this video, she is beginning to feed herself! She only uses her right hand, and you will see, she is still pretty shaky. But it is a great start! If you have a child who is on this same path, don't give up...Lia ate exclusively from a bottle until the age of 3 and 1/2. She began holding her bottle at the age of 4. She does not pick up toys...only her training cup...and a spoon!
