This is not really an Israeli dance, but a Romanian dance, a hora. See jewish ro hora: "As about origins, the hora (danced in circle) comes from Romania".

does your organization do for tolerance between poles and jews? that what I guessed from watching the last videos.
I wandered if I could know more about their daily lives there from thier and your viewpoint.
how could I contribute? it may be interesting for them to know about my life here in israel
look at your page in YouTube, I left there my email address.

my name is Abigail Epstein.
. I saw the videos here and I wondered if I could have any connection with these guys. I was much impressed by their will power- to me as an israeli it is so easy to be connected to my jewishness.
I was much impressed by the videos I saw, especialy the first two- the girl and the one who tought himself Hebrew- (btw,my grandpa came from Czetochowa)

I was always tought that the jewry of poland was entirely annihilated, and belongs to the past.I new there are still some 3000 jews there, but my teacher told me that all of them, more or less, are surviviors.
then I began surfing in the web to know what, and who, are the polish jews today- wha I saw were mainly articles about antisemitism in poland until I saw some clips here.
what is PAJA, sir? and why did you choose to live in poland, today, as a jew?

ammm... but most of them are eldery, are'nt they? does the youth there have any connection to their jewish identity? or do they assimilate?

Not correct. Many young people, not all halachic, have discovered their Jewish roots and have joined together to explore what it means to them. Many have become shabass observers, many take classes with Rabbi Boaz, and parrticipate in observances of passover, chanukah, purim, RH, YK etc. Their name is czulent. They have a website. I am an American Jew living in Krakow where I run a non-profit org call PAJA. Tell me about yourself.
