2011 New Zealand Trip with Contiki Tour Group

For my 35th birthday, I originally was gonna go to Japan, but ......that didn't turn out well, with the earthquake at all. I felt bad and I donated money, but then I decided to go with my 2nd option. I decided to go to New Zealand with a Contiki tour group. I'm glad I went on this awesome tour. I started from Auckland, and then went paragliding in the Bay of Islands, to Waitomo where we went inside a cave and saw glowworms. From there, we went to Rotorua, and saw a performance by the native people. Then we traveled from Wellington, and went on a rope course, a Lord of the Rings tour, and attended a boat party at nighttime. And last, but not least, went to Christchurch and saw some of the damage caused by the earthquake. Sometime inbetween all of this, went sand dune surfing, and zorbing, where they stick you in a plastic ball, and roll you down a hill. It was one of the best times that I won't forget in a long time.
