  • The show is amazing, but I think this Mufasa character is getting a little confused. Why does The Lion King represent a positive image of a black man taking care of his community??? Why do people bring race into everything?

  • That's the great thing about The Lion King - it is a very personal experience to each individual and what each of us get out of it is unique. His role represents being a strong leader of his family/community, which is important whether you are white, black, asian or any race. Rufus grew up in the predominantly black suburbs of Cleveland Ohio, which has a history of race riots, high crime and poor living conditions, so possibly for him he never saw this positive image that he portrays on stage.

  • She sounds bored.

  • The guy who plays Zazu, his costume is blue.

  • I don't get why zazu is white. He is suppose to be blue.

  • did that guy just say he's never seen the movie The Lion King?

    Is that even legal?

  • This Is Truly Breath Taking!!!

  • I dont see why he has to say ''as a black man'',that is completely Irrelivent, but I love the show.I dont think this was meant to be a ratial show ,i just think they want the actor to apear to be african for the cultural aspects of the show.

  • @hiimalexisniccole Watch the video. 2:47. I didn't bring race into it, it's already there. I questioned why the actor saw the character as a representation for a black man. I received an honest reply from lionking300 and I replied that I had misunderstood his interpretation. I don't think there's ever anything wrong with raising an issue you feel is wrong, but I also feel it's right to admit when you're wrong. I did that.

  • @getdownadam why are you bringing race into it?

  • @DeLiCaTe97DiSaStEr I wasn't 'trying' to say anything. I said exactly what I wanted to.

  • @getdownadam so what your trying to say is, if it was a white man playing the part of the lion in the play then it wouldn't be a racial issue? ha! puh-lease. how bout u just enjoy the video and YOU stop bringing race into everything!!
