if this had some sort of porn widget then I would get it just for the sake of not having to get out of bed to masturbate

@shigalbigal Chances are you paid much more for a computer that often ends up displaying ads. Ads pay for "free "content & the delivery of that content. Personally I'd put the 180 towards a netbook & still not worry about ads. Find me one for around 50 bucks I'd buy a chumby

i looked this up to laugh at it

Well, yes. But I want to say one thing about the rechargable batteries. Now the ''Chumby One'' is out it has batteries.

I think there is a gadget called smartphone which works very similar... Actually works better... but there is a problem, it can also make phone calls and runs with rechargable batteries.

I love how at the video quality is so horrible, at 1:05 and onward it looks like theres a disgusting growth on his face.

Iv had one for almost two years next to my bed. Its realy great. Iv programed it to light up at 7am and cycle through weath, news, my ebay account and facebook account. There are a few other widgets it cycles through also giving me all my info I need for the start of the day. Later in the evening it cycles through a different bunch of widgets before shutting down into sleep mode at 10pm. It sits with a dim clock mode at night. I love it very much and its very handy for a working person.
Hey, leave my growth alone! It's not easy being a freak. LOL Seriously though, this was video encoded to flash and then downloaded and re-encoded to youtube flash. Too many re-encodes, that's for sure. Sorry!

No batteries?? That's bad!

Yeah, I would like to see some batteries in the Chumby. With that said, most people will put this on their desk or nightside and not move it... so that won't be an issue. Not a dealbreaker for me though.

DerMewX,
Don't hate on us because our dollar is worth nothing these days... it's not our fault! :)

Don't mean to be a downer, but you pretty much get the EXACT equivalent with OS X's Dashboard, for anyone who has a Mac. And maybe Windows Vista's Sidebar (I haven't tried it myself). I'm also concerned cos the touch screen seems to be a bit annoying, requiring 2-3 touches to get it right. All in all, I'm not impressed. Please try again.

For the record, nobody was "trying" to impress you. I was simply reviewing the product. The fact of the matter is many of us HATE having those widgets running on our screen (Mac OS or Vista). That's the point, it moves those widgets off your computer screen and onto the Chumby. I, for one, think it's a great idea. Obviously it's not a product for everyone.
