A JB Love story chapter 1 {part 1}

Pink Slip wasn't your ordinary garage band. Okay, maybe they were. They came freash from high school-- literally. They left in the middle of third period. And on the whole ride to the studio in Hollywood, Trixie couldn't stop biting Alexis' nails.
Alexis was always mellow, never really revealing her emotions.
"I wish you would stop, " she growled.
Trixie was the lead singer. "Sorry, I'm just so nervous."

Across from Trixie and Alexis in the rent-a-limo were Malese and Demi; they worked on guitar and drums.

"Guys, chill," said Malese, "We'll be fine. We've been rehearsing for months."
"But it's the Jonas Brothers!" Demi countered, "What if they don't like our music or... or they think were pretty? Hows my hair?"
Malese smacked her. "Calm down. We can do this. We just have to relax."

The auditions came sooner than they wanted. They felt cold, unsure, and unready. The girls held eachothers' hands close and tight.

"Let's remind each other why were here," said Trixie through tears.
"There you go over reacting again," snapped Alexis. "can we get this over with already."
"Not so fast," said Malese. "we need to wear these."

She passed everyone charm bracelets.

"It's a sign that we made it this far. Actually being able to audition in front of the hottest band in the world of Disney is a big step."
"But... we haven't even performed yet." said Trixie through sniffles.
"That just really went over your head, didn't it?" said Alexis
Demi whined. "Guys! Stop fighting, you're making my hair frizz! And besides, we're next."

They walked in slowly, their legs shaking as they centered themselves in the middle of the room.

"Oh, my god! It's them! The Jonas Brothers!!" Sqealed Demi, who then whipped out her eye shadow.

Trixie who was supposed to be the leader, hid behind Malese and waved shyly at Nick. Malese smacked her head.

"Oh brother."
"So..." said Kevin, at the judge table. "Can we get this show on the road?"
Nick bumped him." Don't come off so harsh." He said.

His eyes soon averted themselves back to Trixie, a smile on his face.

"I want to say you're the leader..." He half laughed, amused by her modesty. "Could you step up please?" He gently used his hand to welcome her forward.

She comes slowly. She looks back and mouthed the words 'Help me!' She turns back to the Jonas Brothers, perferably at Nick.

"Um... hi."
"Do you have a song for us?!" Yelled Kevin, his head now red with fury.
Joe holds him down. "Dude, calm down." He looks to Trixie. "He's had a long day."
"Oh, ok..." said Trixie.
"What will you sing for us today?" said Nick calmly.
"Um..." Trixie felt uneasy.
"We have nothing." Alexis said blankly.
"Can we have a moment please?" said Malese
"Sure." said Joe
"Are you kidding me?" Whispered Kevin with anger and frustration hinted in his voice.
"My iced coffee hasn't come at all and I ordered it this morning! It is 6:00 o'clock, Joe 6:00 o'clock!! And this sink dip or whatever hasn't performed yet! I'm angry.."
"Here," said Joe, tossing a dog treat in his direction.
"I hate you..."
"Calm down," said Nick "they're almost done."

Out of the blue, Demi stashed her eyeshadow back into her dress pocket after doing her lip gloss and ran toward Joe. She planted one on Joe's cheek. Joe blinked hard.

"Um...thanks?"
"You are soooo...hot. Sorry."
"Ok," Nick laughed. "This'll give us something to discuss at the dinner table. Are you guys ready?"
Alexis punched Demi in the arm.
"Oh yeah. We're ready."
"We're gonna sing an original song... 'Permission to Party'." said Trixie, half studdering.
"Finally!" said Kevin.
"Did you not take the medicine I threw at you?" said Joe.
"Ok. When you're ready." said Nick.

LATER

The next morning, the girls were all in the hotel. Demi was in the mirror fixing her bangs.

"Okay, up every--"

She was interupted by a pillow being thrown at her head.

"I hate you now." Said Alexis, muffled and hidden in the covers.
"Why? I didn't do anything."
"You kissed her boo," said Malese, who was in the bathroom.
"Who wants breakfast?" said Trixie.
"Sure." said Malese
"I don't eat human food," said Alexis, joking in her monotonous way.
"As long as it's low carb." said Demi. "I'm watching my figure."
"Wow," said Trixie with a suspicious sudden giggle.
"Why are you so jolly?" said Alexis.
"Oh, nothing... Just that we got the audition!!"
"Ahhh!" Malese leaped with joy and everyone tackled Trixie. "How'd you find out so fast? We wern't supposed to get the results until 4:00 this afternoon."
"I've got connections."
"Or condoms." said Alexis.
"Son't be so mean," said Demi. "Besides... even is she DID win our way to stardom last night, she'd tell us EVERYTHING that went down, riiight?"

All eyes on Trixie who remained speechless...
