  • @MassLiberal1 Boy! It'd sure be great to see some young people find actual relationship with God. To live for Him, following Christ and his teachings outside of the metaphorically crumbling walls of the Church, could really shake things up! The movement is already shaking up my own formerly legalistic, ultra-conservative parents. I do see some freedom from legalism, yet they are still bound by many extra-Biblical views of what Church is "supposed" to look like. Exciting to see what may come!

  • @knotsofeire Thankfully, most of McLaren's fans are young, so I think pretty soon this emerging Christianity will be mainstream in the Church.

  • It saddens me that this author, theologian, and the entire "emergent church" movement is looked down upon so much in the Christian World. If we, so called Christians, took the time to listen to all he has to say, read all he has written, and open our own hearts to the Spirit of God, I do believe we'd find some serious flaws in our OWN doctrines and Biblical interpretations.
