  • If you have ambitions in this genre you should think about the difference between poetry and verse. Poetry doesn't necessarily have to rhyme, but just becasuse it's verse doesn't necessarily mean it has to be poetry either. This is meant to be a constructive comment so please take it as such.

  • @mjeshaw This was a poem I wrote for my 9th grade english class. I acknowledge that my artistic / poetic abilities are lacking, but the rhymes are good and it's a good narrative. Maybe it's not a poem by definition, but I am no poet. Just wanted to share my work with other youtubers. Thanks for the comment!

  • but they never took Sweden muhahaha, great poem

  • @Svanberg123

  • @justjustinme That's fine; it was just friendly advice in case you were interested in writing more. Having to study it puts a lot of people off for life. As Dr. Johnson said, "A man should read as inclination leads him, for what he learns as a task will do him little good." There are plenty of war poems, such as Keith Douglas's "Vergissmeinnich", that rhyme as well as being great poetry. You can find it on YouTube, although I prefer to read, rather than hearing another person's interpretation.

  • @ambspier

yes. and i thank you for that . :) i'm sure your poem turned out great.

  • @justjustinme i didnt tho lol
