Speakers: AnnaLee Saxenian, Dean, School of Information and Professor, City and Regional Planning, University of California, Berkeley. Steven Weber, Director, Institute of International Studies and Professor, Political Science

The mobility of skilled labor is transforming the flow of knowledge around the world. As U.S.-educated engineers and professionals return to their home countries, they are turning what once was a brain drain into a two-way process of brain circulation. These professionals are transferring to developing regions the technology and managerial know-how that once resided exclusively in advanced economies like the U.S. This process is fueling the emergence of new centers of technology entrepreneurship and creating new competitors for Silicon Valley and foreshadows persistent global skill shortages in coming decades. Discover Cal Lecture, University of California, Berkeley.

Globalization is not just about these 2 countries

whats so global about these asian countries

    Global means worldwide

  • These eggheads talk about movement of people but they never talk about the gov b.s. that comes with it all the b.s. rules and crap every time u move, just visit an airport and see that searches and all the police state statism that is growing at leaps and bonds, all those acemdic always seems to forget where to place balme for crimes of humanity that's why it repeats itself. Statism in all its forms spreads, and the evil that follows it grows as well. Interesting that overlook the real issues

  • doesn't give the mud puddle countries anything but uses their resources/labor forces

  • They do not, perhaps, understand the important role in globalization that religion, faith, and spirituality has. It is not only i the US that religious faith means more and more.

  • Thank you so much for that great video and I'm just getting started on this industry so this really helped a lot. On another note, I have been closely discovering from reputable net marketers based in and out of Canada, in fact, a few of them will be host speakers for Canada Marketing Summit. I'm so sure that with the information I will be learning from the summit and this, I hope to build my career on the web. Keep creating awesome videos, cheers!
