Casey Family Services' Parent Child Foster Care Program- Changing the Foster care Narrative

Baltimore's Casey Family Services has launched an innovative program to support teen mothers in the foster care system. Profiled is 18 year old foster youth Tellita Crawford who has spent a year in the program. Programs like these have the potential to reduce teen pregnancies and future instances of child abuse. They are critical to breaking the cycle in which some young people coming out of foster care end up having their own children enter the system due to abuse and neglect.

Fostering Media Connections is a media-driven, grass roots initiative to speed the implementation of sweeping federal foster care reform and change the common narrative of the foster care system
