I prefer the surf/rock n roll sound of the raveonettes. This isn't bad though. Sune needs to crank the reverb up to 10 and just rip on the guitar.

Don't like distortion.......then don't like Raveonettes, go listen to other stuff. I know this band is good, because hey, I like what I hear. That's all I need to know.

sounds nothing like gimme shelter. the lead at one point kinda sounds like it, but the song in general doesnt really.

I guess we will never know if this band would be good or not since they ruin all the melodies and harmonies with that lame distortion throughout the entire CD. In several of the songs where the distortion goes away, you get glimpses of how thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing the CD could have been. I wont be buying anything again until I listen to all songs before hand to ensure there is no distortion. Its not a style or an artistic metaphor, its just plain annoying.
