This is further work with the "Bedini Earth Light". The heart of this project centers around the power source. I modified the circuit to run on extremely low power in a blinking mode and added a part to make it automatic on/off. The reason is that we are now focused on making the battery function on little or no water. The small single cell I am using is composed of Alum, activated carbon, magnesium, copper and a small amount of water. Information on this project can be found at the Energetic Forum on the Bedini Earth Light thread.

  • GJ lid, you can get alum in the spice section at safeway.

  • @Wavefront101 ---Thanks. My Safeway didn't stock it but the Vovs market had it . It is a McCormick brand and comes in a little jar.

  • @Lidmotor maybe you live by me, cause I bought the last 2. :)

  • @Wavefront101 -----I finally found it in a VONS market. McCormick brand in a small jar.

  • I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now. Very interesting work. I am playing around with two small 2 watt 120 Mamp @ 15 volt solar panels. I plan on tying them together to increase the amperage and use it to charge small batteries. I think you know what panels I'm talking about. You had one in a video. Great work your doing. Thank you.

  • @stuzapusa -----I actually like that solar panel and use it often because it works on cloudy days. It is not very efficient or powerful but for certain things ----it is all you need.

  • 0omg thats brilliant!!

  • very nice project :D

  • @Lidmotor You might try using Glycerin and water. Glycerin likes water a lot and never seems to dry out. Albertsons has it as De La Cruz Glycerin USP 2 oz. bottles. This may or may not work as an electrolite, but might be worth a try. Slinky

  • @KyleCarrington -----The activated carbon and magnesium are the two elements at work here. The copper wire is the connector for the carbon. I could have used something else. What goes away is the Mg and THAT is what the problem is. We are trying to slow that deterioration down with the Alum ---and still have power. It seems to work.

  • @slinky460 ---- It is pretty simple but it works. It dried out completely last night though and stopped. Hummm. Back to the drawing board.

  • @Wavefront101 ---Thanks. There is a Safeway store near me. I'll check there.
