  • @davidsmffei Because some people obviously didn't know, and no, not anyone can edit Wikipedia, you need certain credentials.

  • /¯(°˽°)

  • @HoodedPianist1 If it had already been established in 1970, then why do people still call it Bach? Are those sources listed on Wikipedia reliable? Anyone can edit Wikipedia, you know that.

  • @davidsmffei 1. Yes, but it was a rhetorical point. 2. en . wikipedia . org /wiki/Christian_Petzold <- Read the first paragraph.

  • @HoodedPianist1 Beethoven is very well known in the classical world - he's actually from the romantic period of music. You can't mistake POP music for classical music and vice versa. Not very many people listen to classical music, so it's easier for people to know what you're talking about if you refer to it as the "BACH Minuet in G" rather than the "PETZOLD Minuet in G." If PETZOLD really wrote this, why is it always called BACH Minuet?

  • @davidsmffei That's crazy, that's like attributing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 1st mvt. to some heavy metal band, because more people know about some heavy metal band than Beethoven. Great job playing by the way.

  • @HoodedPianist1 Well, almost everyone knows Bach while almost nobody knows this Petzold dude, so might as well attribute it to Bach.

  • @davidsmffei Sorry, it just frustrates me how many people think Bach wrote this!

  • @HoodedPianist1 You didn't have to shout.

  • THIS IS NOT BACH, THIS WAS COMPOSED BY CHRISTIAN PETZOLD, PLEASE CHANGE IT THE TITLE.
