Suffocation guitars suck?? All of their riffs fucking kill and are entirely original shit. Terrence Hobbs constantly writes and keep that shit fresh and he still have unreleased stuff. Suffocation has some of the best riffs I ever heard

necrophagist's got death metal lyrics. but a DM band can write about anything, if the music is right, it's good. with brutality, I think of a special feeling, heavyness, aggression, speed or technicality are kinda important but real brutality is something more than that, which is why some suffocation songs are more brutal than others, even though they have the same speed, guitar tone et c. so, I kinda know, what you're talking about but some NPH songs have that feeling as well IMO. nile rulez!

no it's about lyrics as well(eitherwise DM would be instrumentals),and of course it's just about me.What i m saying represents me and only me(at least).Maybe it's just me that after listening to Asphyx and Grave,brutality gained another meening,by far more real than the easy aspect of extreme speed and technic of necrophagist and faceless.. By the way nile is one of my favorites(that's how speed and technic are wisely used)

they haven't got that death metal feeling? I don't call that much of an argument. There is brutality, there is aggression, there is nihilism, there is I think their music is more than just technical, I think they're music is in fact, quite musical. I can get emotions from their songs, If you don't then that's just you, you know. diminished to b is just a play on words, it is in fact diminished to be, which is actually what the song is about. but please, don't ever tell me DM is about lyrics.
