Hugh Nibley describes the "Main Crux against the Book of Mormon" as "horses".

Are horses or elephants the MAIN crux against the Book of Mormon?

Is there truly no better arguement? Or is Hugh Nibley setting up a straw man?

This video also includes interviews from LDS scholars of F.A.R.M.S that also go into other so-called MAIN issues with the Book of Mormon.

In the end, the video describes the more logical arguements against the Book of Mormon based on science.

Now certainly there are PLENTY of scriptural and doctrinal problems with the Book of Mormon, but this video identifies tangible issues.

Simon Southerton is a former LDS bishop and a microbiologist. He is featured in this video and is a good source for scientific research on LDS / Book of Mormon DNA problems.

Thomas Murphy is an LDS anthropologist and a PHD in his field. He is a great resource for current day scientific research on Book of Mormon people.

  • @jferristube "What should they have been translated into?Everyday all american slang of the times?"

    Reformed Ebonics??

  • @CounterCultureLives SmYth borrowed quite heavily from The Bible.

He didnt borrow anything. The gospel of Christ as taught in the Old World would be the same Gospel in the New World.

The Bible? I thought ya said ya didnt even accept it completely/ :o)) All good

  • @CounterCultureLives

How do you know reformed egyptian could not have been translated into Elizabethan eng?

  • @CounterCultureLives then they would not have translated into Elizabethan English.

    Why not?

What should they have been translated into?Everyday all american slang of the times?

Id venture to say god couldve had them translated into any language he deemed necessary. I suggest he planned it to come forth in the time nd place and in the hands of the one He appointed then Elizabethan English would be the most appropriate language

  • @CounterCultureLives Regarding my "hiatus"

Nothin like a good sense of humor Counter. I like it :0)

  • @jferristube Regarding my "hiatus": I've been dealing with Spiritual Warfare. As the Grand Exalted High Priest of "The Reformed Fundamentalist Left Handed Dyslexic Movementaian Movement", I've been having to deal with an apostate group known as "The Reformed Fundamentalist RIGHT Handed Dyslexic Movement of Latter Day Movementarians".

Hell bound heathens that they are!! Looks like we are going to have to start picketing their funerals.

  • Hey, Jferristube!! Doun' pretty well, just busier that a Mormon Missionary with three back-to-back Baptisms and two flat tires on his bike!! ;o)

Hope your Holy Days and holidays were Blessed.

Regarding my beliefs?? I'm not a Christian, but I'm not an atheist either. The Bible holds some elements of truth, but is by no means infallible.

Organized religion as a whole is a means by which the empowered few are able to reign and rule over the masses.

    Thanks for the friendly greeting!!

  • @CounterCultureLives

    Hey how ya goin

Havent heard from you in a while :0))

Belated Merry Christmas and happy New Year

Are you Christian? Refresh my memory pls.

    Thanks

  • @jferristube You're evading the point, jferistube, and you know it. The Book of Mormon times do not coincide with the Elizabethan Era at all. So, if these (fictitious) "tablets" were written in "Reformed Egyptian" (for which there in no credible evidence), then they would not have translated into Elizabethan English.

SmYth borrowed quite heavily from The Bible.

  • @jferristube So, "those who demand proof are not really interested in the truth"?? What a ridiculous notion. Since these "evidences" are so compelling, I'm sure3 they will be authenticated by credible, unbiased experts.

Smithsonian?? National Geographic Society?? Any Non-LDS affiliated university?? Ant Central or South American Ministry of Antiquities??

How about some MAPS in The Book of Mormon??
