White is white and black is black. Skin color, culture, language and religion are all things that divide people - it's human nature. They can all be smart and kind, it has nothing to do with it. Very few black people speak so eloquently so it's a fair judgment to say he is trying to act, maybe he grew up around white folks what do I know. Everybody can be however they want but don't start crying when someone points you out as being different than everyone else.

Racial discrimination still exists, but it is not nearly as much of an issue as it was before. Black people who work hard and have a College degree will get hired just as easily as a white person with the same credentials. Middle Class Black people aren't being targeted here. It's the poor blacks where the majority of discrimination, prejudice and racism occurs these days.

You don't see any hatred aimed at Neil Degrasse Tyson do you, but you see a bunch of people hating on LiL Wayne.

Are you actually serious? No one is arguing that compared to the past, the status on minorities has improved. However, structural racism and racial discrimination still exist.

This comment is actually pretty prejudicial. That's pretty inevitable. When it comes to intellectualism I don't see "white and black". I see "intelligent" and I see "ignorant". All because he is talking without vernacular and ebonics doesn't mean he is attempting to "act white". Basically I'm saying if you claim that he's trying to act white, you're putting Africans in America down. Subliminally you're saying that black people are "supposed" to be like what stereotypes depict us as, right?

i remember on Girlfriends one of the girls had natural hair.

And many black girls in commercials on tv have natural curly hair (though some of them are biracial it still counts)

The truth is the light my dear! Few of us wear naturals and have jobs. I Don' t care how many degrees you have. Nothing much has changed. Paul tells the truth.

Why won't he let it go already. He keeps acting like it's the 1960's. Black people have no problems finding success in the 21st century as long as they have the skills required. A lot of the most famous people these days are Blacks. You have Singers, Athletes, Actors/Actresses etc..

Why is he still on the "White man keeping the black man down" dead horse?

It was 2008 then and 2012 now, when is that black and white shit in the U.S. ever going to end. I haven't heard of any white people so far saying anything like "I wish they were slaves" or "black people are not worth as much as white". Racial slurs are everywhere but it doesn't mean that we don't like you or don't respect you. Every race or sex has a stereotype and a joke associated with it, fact of life.
