she had no choice, they all decided for her even though she made it clear that she didn't want to sing without her brother. there was definitely an emphasis of Karen not having control. even the part where the man said she couldn't sign for herself so she had to have her parent sign for her.

The person who plays Karen is Cynthia Gibb..she used to appear in the 80s movies. Some of her famous movies in the 80s were: "Short Circuit 2", "Death Warrant" & "Modern Girls". Her last film appearance was in 2009 as a mother of an accused girl "Accused at 17". All her singing in this film were all lip synch, those were all of Karen's real recorded voice..
