It is Saint Nino's cross! Even though, that this Skete formally belongs to the Serbian church, it has the Russian origin and it is a home for all Orthodox Christians in the world. It was established by Fr. Herman (Podmoshenskie) and Fr. Serafim (Rose) with blessing of St. John of San Francisco and Shanghai.

wow, the "average American" wouldn't know anything about Serbia! I didn't know anything until I started coming to Church, and a friend told me about Serbia. now Serbia is in my prayers every night!
