Unfortunately in the late 80s barbara had lost a big portion of her radio fan base mostly due to her car crash and the aftermath of the court case that followed. By that time her albums weren t doing the same as before but I do agree, her label shoul have pushed for some videos.

@leftfieldmind By late 80's TNN had multiple video shows, and Barbara had a record contract with a few albums that came out during this time frame. I think her record label missed the boat. Dolly Parton started getting less airplay on the radio, but was able to go Gold & Platinum cuz she had hit music videos.

@MrEricSevert in all fairness when Barbara was at the top of her game, videos in country music pretty much were non existent. this vid for Louise came after Barbara was on her decent, unfortunately.

I used to watch the country videos back in the late 80's and they never played this? Sad Barbara Mandrell didn't do videos when she had the chance. Reba was the first one smart enough to realize their power.
