  • I am going in a few months for two weeks how far would you say it is from Hong Kong?

  • Two hours. Its on the island next to the airport. It takes 1:45 to two hours to get to the Buddha from HK island. Expect to spend at least 6 hours for the trip. You can take the MTR to Tung Chung (Exit B - search -walkme2 buddha - for a video), then the bus or Cable car to the buddha, or take the ferry to Mui Wo, then the #2 bus (I think) to Po Lin Monastery.

  • I took a bus there as part of the trip and sat in the top, harrowing, but fun.

  • Its really fun when the bus backs up, on a curve, going uphill, along a ledge, to let a construction vehicke pass. They are building a new road to make that trip easier.

  • H-SUTRA by Pneuma in CN.

  • Thank you very much for providing the name of the music. I am making a DVD to give to Ex-pats, and I am putting this segment on the end. I am so happy I have the name of the song for the credits.

It's been great having you as a subscriber. We leave Hong Kong in a couple weeks, so I it will be difficult for me to upload any new videos. I'll try to upload something in a few months on our new place. Thanks for being there and watching. People like you make all this work worthwhile.

  • I want to visit that buddha when I go back to Hong Kong. It was not built when I left Hong Kong.

  • Went there two months ago. It was awesome! Wish I was back there!

  • Wonderful video of a very impressive statue. I would love to stand in front of him. And how fantastic to be able to see that out your window every day.
