Ahhh, I can see my error, I was trying to take a shortcut and miss out the DVD Architect step and write straight from Vegas. I'm going to have another go and see if it works. Let you know!

Problems persist. I have ticked the 'save project markers in rendered media file' box....and the end result dvd still doesn't have any chapters which I can skip through. Just one long track. Any ideas?

Thanks. I will take on board your comments and look forward to seeing your full tutorial.

@wtc175 Yes the files are saved.
Go to Documents - DVD Architect Studio Projects - "your project" - My Discs.
Inside this folder is the Video and Audio files.
To burn a disc that has already been rendered do this:
Open DVDA & your Project
Insert blank disc Press Make DVD - BURN - Select "Previously Prepared Folder"
Browse to the folder location I showed above - highlight "My Discs" OK
Then press Next and follow the prompts.
Now it will burn a disc directly.
Also - do I need a blu-ray player/writer on my laptop to write blu-ray discs on Vegas? Or is it a format that Vegas induces? Showing my ignorance here...I imagine I would need a blu ray player/writer to do so...perhaps you can confirm this? Thanks again!

@wtc175
You need a BluRay Writer to make BluRay Discs.
It uses a Blue Laser, whereas a DVD uses a Red Laser.
BluRay/DVD Combo Writer Drives can burn both.

Fantastic! Thanks for this information. I was at my wits end about to ditch the programme and switching to some other programme.....I have managed to write a disc now...so will persevere with this Vegas further. Thanks one again for your assistance!!

You have to be patient with learning DVDA.
It can be frustrating until you learn how to use it - I went through the same process.
However, you wont find a better program for the price to make discs - other programs really "will" frustrate you, with there lack of controls.
I am making a full tutorial disc on learning how to use DVD Architect to it's fullest potential - should be released early 2012.
