@ShockDoc Yeah, it would have been considered cool to use the "Mississippi Queen" riff had it been done 30+ years later and using sampled bits of the original song, something along the lines of "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock.

ah, this is a great song. they were a really good rock band...underrated and very good.



Those dumb outfits were the gimmick that helped establish an image that made them a popular dance band and eventually landed them with Dick Clark on TV. A double-edged sword because those silly outfits detracted from their genuine talent and even today they are not taken seriously or give proper credit. Should be in the Rock &Roll Hall of Fame, but sadly, the snobs who vote will never allow them in. Three Dog Night should be in there too.
