  • was the sound feeding directly to the camera cuz that would disturb the hech out of some people over the amp! lolz

  • @ImInTheBush85 Yeah...back then I was just recording with the mics on the cameras and the speaker placement in the room was not considered before I made this video. Now we are recording direct to a Korg D3200 32 track machine. We dont have it all perfectly figured out yet but we are getting close.

  • Dude, your're kickass!

  • @BigBoiJC Wow...Ok..now you are hitting me with one that even I am not familiar with. I will have to check that one out. Thanks for turning me onto something new. BzB :-)

  • @bazybeats one of my favorite songs on Fagen's "Nightfly" album is (besides New Frontier) the title track. I love it because of Porcaro's steady groove.

  • @BigBoiJC Thats a hot list of drummers there. I know where the Perdie/Bonham thing comes into play...that comes from Toto's Rosanna. But did you know that Jeff Porcaro was one of the most influential people in music in the 1980's? Try doing a goggle search for his discography. You will find that he worked with many artists and helped write and preform on songs that you never knew he had a hand in. BzB :-)

  • @bazybeats I'm like you...I totally dig Jeff Porcaro....and because of him...i'm listening more to Bernard Pretty Purdie and John Bonham. I've also been listening to Martin Parker Mike Kennedy (seen here: watch?v=AOgcufLDIkg) Eddie Bayers Carlos Vega Buddy Rich Louie Bellson and of course Carter Beauford.

  • @bazybeats Fantom Regiment, and Black Fire. There are also several local drummers here in the Tampa Bay market and out in Texas where I first started to play drums. In addition, I have to give props to my first band director in High School, Mr. Charles Gregory and my first drum instructor Mr. Breck Vance from Wichita Falls Tx. That about sums it up. Thanks for taking the time to watch my videos and for sending me your question.

  • @BigBoiJC My very first influence and idol was Neil Peart. I finally got to see a Rush concert (Time Machine Tour) this last year. From there the list continues with: Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, Jeff porcaro, Phillip Gould, Carter Beauford, and of course John Blackwell. In addition to individual drummers, I have found a lot of invluence and technique by watching College, DCI and Indepentant Drumlines from around the world. Some of my favs are BCC, FAMU, The Blue Devils - Cont Below

  • BzB, who are some of your favorite drummers to listen to?
