Veni,creàtor Spìritus,
mentes tuòrum visita,
imple supérna gràtia,
quae tu creàsti péctora.

Qui dìceris Paràclitus,
donum Dei,Altìssimi,
fons vivus,ignis,càritas,
et spiritàlis ùnctio.

Tu septifòrmis mùnere,
dextrae Dei tu dìgitus,
tu rite promìssum Patris,
sermòne ditans gùttura.

Accénde lumen sénsibus:
infùnde amòrem còrdibus:
infìrma nostri còrporis
virtùte firmans pérpeti.

Hostem repéllas lòngius,
pacémque dones pròtinus:
ductòre sic te praevio
vitémus omne nòxium.

Per te sciàmus da Patrem,
noscàmus atque Fìlium,
te utriùsque Spìritum
credàmus omni témpore.

Deo Patri sit gloria,
Et Filio,qui a mortuis
Surrexit,ac paraclito,
In saeculorum saecula.
Amen.

  • In my opinion its the most heavenly music Ive ever heard, and listening this kind of music make you feel closer to God. Although, it has been made by the Benedictine Monks, they gave this as a gift to the entire Church, which in greek and latin praise to our Lord.

I enjoy listening this kind of music, this is like the voice of the angels offered to God as a sweet melody.

  • Yes, you are right. Thanks to GOD for st. Gregory the Great...

  • Merci d'avoir mis les paroles!

  • @FRAGIORGIO1 I have studied the history of the liturgy over the ages and have been to ancient churches in Rome and elsewhere in Italy Have you studied the history of the Church? Trent was 1,560 years after the Last Supper. It was not the end or perfection of liturgical development. What I meant about "no absolution" after the Confiteor is that no longer do people cross themselves. It is supposed to forgive venial sins.

  • @egarza86 I can understand that there were many "crazies" after Vatican II that were actually inventing a Vatican III or V! I have no excuse for them and can understand how you may have been traumatized. But the Mass is the Mass approved by the Pope in Rome. The Roman Rite has varied in details and wording over the centuries. I think there are some points that need tweeking even today. Why no absolution after the Confiteor? Some language changes have corrected errors recently.

  • @FRAGIORGIO1 My good friend, I was brought up with "renaissance" Ideals...Believe you me, I wish I was wasn't because it is not easy having this mindstand amongst all the new age phenomena that surrounds us now and that was in transition during my youth...I will not attempt to change ur mind either since you're probably a stubborn alcohol consuming moderationist...All I know is that the truth does not conflict with itself, and that bad seeds do not bring forth good fruit...

  • @egarza86 Jesus broke the bread and gave it to the apostles in their hands. St. John Chrysostom (400 AD) tells the faithful to make a throne for the host in one hand and consume it with the other. Don't be stuck in the Renaissance.

  • @egarza86 By the way, the official text of the Roman Rite is still Latin, as it has been for the last 1,760 years (it was in Greek in Rome itself until about 250 AD). Some of the rites and words and ways of celebrating have varied over the last 1,981 years. The True Mass did not begin in 1570 AD. It began in 30 AD and has varied slightly since. You ought to study the history of the liturgy to understand better. In the first 1,000 years, Mass was celebrated facing the people.

  • @egarza86 Wrong! Vatican II recommended Gregorian Chant, but urged "good" quality music of different types as well. I''m afraid you're misled or at least mistaken. Vatican II did not abolish the use of Latin either. It permitted episcopal conferences to use the language of the people, but recommended that the People be able to recite the parts in Latin that correspond to them. If bishops do not follow Vatican II, that is something else!

  • Yes, indeed; God is Wonderful.

  • Wielbi dusza moja Pana i raduje się duch mój w Bogu, Zbawcy moim.
