  • Beautiful bird, fast and the speed of sound.....

  • @petem74 40 year old technology. Imagine what's flying where you can't see.

  • tremendous aircraft, though the rumors of the aurora are interesting, i'm still upset this is retired.

  • you must feel like god flyin that thing!

  • Still remember been at mildenhall when he realised his display was taking him over the crowd line in a turn so lit the burners and piled the G's on....end result was unlit fuel into the engine till the G's came off and then 2 huge fireballs out the back!!

  • beautiful

  • Such a shame that I'll never witness this for real. The SR71 was so far ahead of its time - designed half a century ago - incredible.

  • I was here, and at Mildenhall Air Fete from 1983 onwards, it was a real event when the SR displayed. The jet would line up and they'd drive cars down the runway to check for debris before they'd even allow her to take off. When she was rolling the heat and noise was like nothing I've ever seen. Never to be repeated again.

  • My grandpa helped make that plane. Still looks high teck for being allmost classic.

  • *****Great video!

She's so beautiful! Miss seeing her as remembered @ 0:55 All memories cherished.
