dude ive been trying to do a toss and spin but it hardly ever works,. any advice?

this was done really well.... just watch when you turn around. you step away from the flag then lean in to catch it. try to pivot on your right foot directly underneath it then your catch will be even more solid and it will give you more time to spot the flag =)

That's one of the tosses I had to do for my freshman solo. It took me forever to get the turn done without traveling. Try starting with your feet in a close fourth position, it's a lot easier that way!

@Sushiramen93 get the flag up high and watch it while you spin.... saves your face from being beat up..

lol, we had to do that for our show and it got taken out because we kept bruising our faces.

@Sushiramen93 When teaching I find that most people tend to turn and toss at the same time or very close together. I am not sure if this is your issue or not but hopefully it helps. Just think toss, turn. catch. It makes it difficult when you turn while toss, catch :)

Ahh I remember when I first did that :D Our guard instructor made us do it my freshman year and before I tossed it I was like, I'm never going to catch this lol. But then I did it and I actually caught O: I was like yess :P Great toss! =]
