Yes, we have enjoyed a steady stream of modified 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS tuner cars. It's been a regular Camarogasm 'round these parts. Some have performed, others never showed up, and one that made at least 700 horsepower ate its clutch.

First, we tested an HPE550 Camaro from Hennessey. Then we tested one from Vortech Engineering. Then we borrowed the Hennessey HPE700 LS9 Camaro. This year's SEMA show even provided a tasteless Camaro Hall of Shame.

these camaros need to go on a diet! theyre way too heavy. theyre badass dont get me wrong. i own a 89 iroc z but i gotta say, these cars arent performing as well as they can. need to shed alot of weight then BAM!!!!! numbers go up! and MPG go up! everything goes up! eat stangs left to right haha. bowtie for life!

@91cannibal Have you test drove a 2010 camaro ss??? If so, then you wont be thinking about the weight of the vehicle... The LS3 packs a mighty punch...... I often wonder about the performance #'s these so called experts tally up..... I mean at the end of the day it really comes down to the driver and how fast he/she can get through the gears.... Theres always some unknown person out there who could prob post better times....

For a pretty big car, it seems to move really well. It looked poised on the slalom, and braking was impressive. I don't know if this version is using Brembo's or not?

@bismillahmashallah i dont listen to the things these car magazines say anymore my dads charger srt8 never runs 0-60 under 4.7 secs and his lowest time was 4.54 only mod is a cai and thats supposed to run 5.1 so im sure this camaro could easily be high threes or mid threes and also 4.2 isnt slow anyway you aint gonna find nothing driving to beat a 4.2 unless your neighbors all have corvettes lambos and ferraris
