  • did you simply swap out the exhaust outlets? I have an R32 as well and those are not stock tips. If so are they easy to swap? I have wanted to get more aggressive-looking outlets (possibly Milltek style) without replacing the perfectly good stock exhaust.

  • Yes swapped the tips and they oem tips have to be cut off and new tips welded in place

  • is the flapper kinda like an electric cutout?

  • Hey sorry for taking so long to respond been away for awhile. But it is a stock exhaust non resonated. The flapper is an electric actuator that is opened by a pump based on the RPMs to basically keep the car quite while cruising around and it opens up at highway speeds. I added a switch to open and close mine.

  • how did you do this? i have an r32 and i cant figure it out...

  • simple 3 way switch there is a diagram on vwvortex

  • my dream car !

  • @daywalkerr32 Hey, I can't find the post on the vwvortex forums, can you message me a link?

    Thanks

  • how much does it cost get non resonated and a flapper mod

  • well the exhaust is stock. so you have to look around forums to find a used R32 exhaust. As for the difference between a resonated and non resonated exhaust, the one that has the resonator taken out(non-resonated) will be more louder as opposed to the one with the resonator on, which is more quieter.

  • Waaaw! That is awesome!

Where can I find an exhaust like that?

And what is the difference between a stock exhaust that is resonated or non resonated?

    Grtz

  • Is this a stock exhaust with just the flapper mod installed?
