@ics002 I thought she did great justice to the song, once she got comfortable. She created kind of an interesting, jazzier version, and i think she should make a real recording of it. This and the original are equally great.

@frankumms05 are you trying to be funny? Barbra Streisand has more awards than Celine Dion :Oscars, Grammy ,etc....The woman is genius for being in the show biz for 40-50 years and sings with an amazing voice...You can leave it at that...Celine Dion is great in how she sings and she has a specific way but this song does not do justice to the original one....

I prefer Barbra Streisand's version. They both have amazing voices and talent but the way Mrs. Streisand sings it is with such an ease and grace.
I have had friends who were lucky to see Celine Dion perform with Cirque du Solei when she did so before her contract was up and some saw Mrs Streisand. I have heard only amazing reviews on both singers since they can belt tunes as though there is no tomorrow....What I heard is that is that Barbra Streisand's concerts are expensive but worthy...

No, that's not what happened. Barbra was asked to sing her song first, but as she did before she declined, so Natalie Cole was going to do the song. But it's Natalie who got the flu, so Celine was asked to do it one day before the Academy Awards.
