Video/Slideshow of the last weeks of building the Pinky Schooner ARDELLE in Essex, Mass. She was launched from the HA. Burnham Shipyard Saturday, June 9, 2011 around 6:45 PM.

ARDELLE is the fifth vessel for which Harold Burnham has asked me to design nameboards, hails and decorative work. The scroll design is styled after those in common use on Essex-built vessels during the mid-eighteenth century. As always, master carver Bob Brophy really did all the hard work.

ARDELLE was built for Harold's own use as a charter vessel. When completed this Fall, she will be taking passengers out for sails in and around Gloucester, Massachusetts. She will be berthed at the Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center.
