This video shows the latest version ( as of April 2010 ) of the game client/engine, and features the seamless planetary engine, a ring with asteroids, a space station, basic navigation/camera/controls and a few effects. The game is still heavily a work in progress.

    it's procedurally generated so basically the whole universe, the amount of planets, the diversity of the planets, hence the name "infinity"...

    I think the progress of flying down the planet was sped up, just as he sped up flying to that asteroid just to make it less boring to watch (probably would be fun to play anyway).

    It was cool but I think you have to think of the technical fidelity of the whole universe. Also he flew down to that planet really fast
