  • The Genius Charles Chaplin in his first appearance as the little tramp! So long ago. This is somewhat eerie to watch. All those people are gone now. Viva Chaplin!

  • esta chida me hace reir mucho jajajajajaja charley chapli es genial

  • @JCLUFC All true except that this was not the first movie in which Charlie Chaplin wore the Tramp's outfit. That would be Mabel's Strange Predicament which was shot before Kids Auto Races, but released after it.

It is fair to say though that this is the first appearance of the Tramp.

  • You are so correct, Lehrmam was a joke, he lied about his past, his nickname was "Pathe Lehrman" but he did turn out a fair few movies in the end.

  • its not chaplin and sennett at all, its chaplin and a director called henry lehrman who chaplin despised. its actually a real film, chaplin's first in the famous tramp outfit, called kid auto races at venice, released in feb 1914. the idea of the film was charlie getting in the way of the camera and annoying the director, lehrman. they thought of some cracking storylines back in the old silent days didn't they.
