The new National Christmas Tree is getting its holiday on. President Barack Obama and family lit the tree in a ceremony Thursday. It's the 89th year for the holiday tree lighting, a tradition that began with President Calvin Coolidge in 1923. (Dec. 1)

I'm a dirty liberal - I admit it but I'd like to say that I'm disapointed Obama has decided to cling to religion for votes... Last I heard he was an atheist. He's done a lot during his presidency, at the cost of the poor. However his 'faith' is what upsets me most.

Christmas was and is a christian festival (doesn't mean that others cant celebrate it, but it is a christian thing) So what Obama did was just tell everyone about the history of Christmas from the christian point of view... also its not just u guys who have the freedom of speech, the government and politicians have it too... so chill down man and enjoy Christmas, than just creating problems out of nothing... so early Happy "CHRISTMAS" :D
