adolescentprick101 really is one. i see it the same way hectorleon87 does. elliott's style wasn't so much a performance, but more of a confession. he played live the same way he would've played alone in his room, most likely. it makes it that much more personal.

@Alvin2K4S Your comment is right on the mark. People who really love music can see that in him. It's not a rehearsed performance with pretty lights and fireworks. It's just Elliott smith and his guitar. The only thing you see is his personality, who he was. There isn't anything distracting you from what the music actually is. I always loved that about Elliott.

in all honesty i love elliott smith alot. i believe he very talented and innovative but he is too nervous to play live. just not as good as it should be
