Receiving the ARRISSat-1 amateur radio satellite put into orbit after being thrown from the International Space Station. We used a handheld "arrow" brand crossed yagi antenna to receiving this great pass over FN42hn (Chelmsford, MA) on the 2M amateur band.

The three SSTV images received during this pass can be seen at:

  • One of the best caps of a sat I've ever heard!

  • @PresentedIn4D Thanks for the kind words! It was tons of fun to hear a pass that clear with such a simple antenna system. FYI I've linked to the three SSTV images sent down during that pass. They are the digital sounds you hear if you are not familiar with them.
