The Hispanic Scholarship Fund made it possible for a farmworker named, Alfredo Quiñones to become a brain surgeon who is now the Director of Brain Tumor Surgery at Johns Hopkins University.

Giving back is always good. Not everyone is born with the ability to ever become a brain surgeon or suchlike, but I think the number of people that are is much, much higher than one would think.
