he made it clear that jimi is the very king!

Winter, Hendrix, Green, Beck, Vai, Satrianni, SRV, Buddy, Lightin', both Kings they are all great in their separate ways imho JW is very good in all aspects from slow to fast, boogie, slide and his percision will be measured for decades to come if not forever!! I'm a player to get this same sound is almost unimagineable, thanks Johnny for all the years of pleasure.

Listening to J.W. for a long time. Had I heard this 40 years ago I would've been sooo disapointed. This my first listen to this cut and honestly, well, he is singing very alternative lyrics but for the most part he could still wipe the floor of most gitplayers.Go Johnny Go!

Johnny sounds totally fucked up here. Yet he could still play better than most others. Says a lot.

@warriordrum I agree! I am an old fart (59), and I grew up with this stuff. I am a player myself and Johnny Winter was one of my all time biggest influences. Very unique in his own way. When I bought the album "Johnny Winter And" when it was first released, it totally blew me away.

@warriordrum nicely put!

nice tribute

Scroungy, broken and not for a minute unintentional. Johnny is scary talented and anyone who plays knows it. He stands above Page, way above Clapton, almost to the heights of Jimi.

One of my all time favorites puts me in a coma every time i hear it is it appropriate to play at my final resting place? or maybe Peace in the Valley by Elvis or Knockin on Heavens Door by Guns & Roses?
1974 was such a good year............

@jazzynet1 - I was there too in '73 - '74. I lived at Gam Hall, room 268 on the East Green. I wonder it the 3 joints I left under my bed are still there?
