Justwilliam: Why don’t you just shut your ignorant mouth? I’m an English detectorist, and have been for nearly 17 years now. I really enjoy the enthusiasm our American friends have for the hobby, especially when they’ve put in a lot of time, money and effort in coming here to enjoy and share in our heritage. Big thumbs up to Chicagoron and his friends for posting up such enjoyable and informative videos.

Excellent video.
One question though, how does such a diverse amount of coins come to be in a field?
I mean some of these coins are centuries apart.
Please forgive my ignorance,I stumbled across this video.
The gold coins are especially captivating, are they solid gold?

@justwilliam73 well it is really really old stuff... technically it belongs to the landowners and these guys get permission from them so it isnt really stealing. no ones going to miss it and there are plenty of fields in the english countryside if you want to go find some yourself?

@justwilliam73 Thanks for the comment Mate! I have done my share to preserve the history of your country, I have a gold coin in the colchester museum, and am about to donate one of only 2 known 15th century hawking whistles. Members of my team have donated dozens of artifacts to local museums!
What have you contributed Mate?

How did you guys bring bak you finds to the USA? Thx for uploading

@janisleuk Proper export license issued for all find over 50 years old. Our host who has contracts with the farmers does all the export paperwork. Usually takes about 2 to 3 months to get our finds back.
