All done with a Multi patch on the Akai Miniak. Hope you enjoy some squelchy bass goodness.

  • wooow, nice one!

  • @JVGmidi Thanks!

  • which multi is this ?

  • @mark01318 It's an original one I made myself. I created the synth line, found a snare I liked, created a simple snare loop, found a 4x4 bass loop, and added in a hihat loop. Voilà!

  • what mic are you using to record?

  • @Crazyfatguy123 I'm actually doing a direct line-in into my computer, recording using Garageband. You can do this if you have a mic-in on your computer or if you have an audio i/o interface of some sort. That way you get a very clean, true signal.

  • @Tiffanytherocker This machine has no record or sample capabilities strictly synth and vocoder. you can find the record options on the Korg R3 but it is limited. GCs used website you can find a lot of these synths cheap and they dont take them unless they are in working order and have all thier parts.

  • @ratface1987 plenty used on GCs used website for cheap.

  • @Tiffanytherocker Do you mean the vocoder/external audio effects? I don't think there is a record/sample function, but you can add effects and filters to any external audio source. I've never used it much but it's a cool feature (in theory at least). I'll have to play around with it and see if I can put up a video.

  • Yeah, I was going to poke around on craigslist or amazon, I was wondering if you figured out how to use your vocals- assign (record- essentially) them in a bass key & post a video demo of that. I don't see ANY videos of people demoing the *synthe'd out vocals* on this machine... I didn't get to that part of testing it out when I was messing around with it at guitar center.
