amazing. that was an absolutely amazing tribute! its good to know people care for animals still. sometimes i wonder with all the brutality going on. especially here in Vegas where i live. unfortunately i just ran into a house that had 4 puppy pits...all were very sick, very skinny, and animal control did nothing about it when i called. just gave the guy a warning. makes me sick!

Our female began to have trouble lifting off her front legs at about six. She had trouble walking by seven and had to be put to sleep at eight. The male didn't slip as fast as Blue did but at nine began to really age. One day he stood at the back steps staring at the back door. An hour or so later we went out looking for him. He was laying upright with his head on his paws dead. Our little girl cried for days. Filas are the best friends one could have but the age so fast.
Chica - Bimbo and Hummer all died first Chica (Cancer) Bimbo 3 months Later something in the head mayor epilepsie had to put her down and 4 months later Hummer same as Bimbo he and Bimbo had the same mother now we are happy to have the Red Fila he's good so far he became my shadow since..................

Its a shame big dogs die young and little yappers live twice as long.Have 2 great danes,a 170lb 6.5 year old brindle male Rudy and a newcomer to the family a harliquien female Rosie six months old, with european blood she allready tips the scales at 75lbs.Cannot keep my male dane out of the pool he thinks he is a lab,and will dive for sunken toys, but boy will he scratch the crap out of you if you get rough in the water with him, rosie will like the pool too she plays in puddles allready :)

I recently put down a 8.5yr old female she had hip, wrist and elbow displaysia from 4 months old,she averaged 165lbs throughout her life, had her one knee ligament fixed at 4yrs old.She was the most loving family dog i ever owned, she looked just like yours but a bit bigger. Had her tested at 6 months old and vet said we would be lucky to get 2 years,we got 8.5,but the rest of the litter of 10 pups all passed before 4 years.Loving but super protective as the breed is.Sorry for your loss.
