Hunthing the Giant Mole without the Falador Shield 4

I recorded this while hunting the Giant Mole to gather seeds for 99 farming.
The recording date is July 21st 2010.
And this is the method I used to kill them.


MOLE'S WEAKNESS:

Ranged & Stab attacks


EQUIPMENT:

- Full Void + Melee Helm: boost attack bonus even further
- Amulet of Fury: attack and strength bonus
- Dragon Boots: strength bonus
- Zamorakian Spear: stab attack style, good stab attack bonus
- DD(P++) + Dragon Defender: stab attack style, ability to poison, decent special attack
- Ring of Wealth: I like stuff
- Ardougne Cloak: nice stab attack bonus, Kandarin Monastery teleport (easy prayer restore), nice prayer bonus
- Seer's Headband: non-extinguishable light source
- Spade: access to the Giant Mole's lair
- Falador teleport runes: fast banking and returning
- Spirit Terrorbird Pouches + Scrolls: storage, restores run energy, direction indicator when the mole vanishes


METHOD:

Run around the lair, not to close to the center and not to close to the edge, so you can locate the Giant Mole.
When you found it attack it when your dragon dagger (p++) until it's poisioned.
Poison helps a lot as it deals damage to the mole even when you aren't attacking it.
When you see that it's poisoned change to your primairy weapon, in my case the Zamorakian spear.
DO NOT FORGET: it's essencial that you summon your familiar and get it to attack the Giant Mole before it gets to half LP.
If the Giant Mole gets to half LP it will start to dig away.
But when a familiar is attacking the mole, after it digs away the familiar will chase it briefly, thus directing you towards the mole's new location.
Run in the direction your familiar was facing.
The Giant Mole may dig away before you find it, but that doesn't happen too often.
When you find it, call your familiar at the same time as you attack the Giant Mole and it will start attacking it.
If the mole digs away after your first attack, the familiar will still chase it if you called it at the right time.

@Golddust21 How could I hunt it with the shield if it didn't exsist at the time of recording. :p And not everyone has that shield. :p I'll make one with the shield when I actually use it.

Just so you know you average more kills per trip but less hides per mole if you poison it.
