  • Thanks to the veterans of the Merchant Marine. They were the ones who survived the subs and airplanes of the Nazis in the Atlantic and the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Pacific. The allied nations should be every grateful to the men who got the

    goods there!

  • 3/ "This film honours the unprecedented feats of sailors of the Soviet Union, England, America, Poland in the second world war in northern Russia."

  • 2/ "Of 33 transports and one tanker, 2 ships turned back, 13 transports and one rescue ship were destroyed by aircraft, 10 were sunk by German submarines. 210 bombers, 430 tanks, 3250 motor vehicles. This was enough to equip a whole army. This was a real catasrophe."

  • 1/ "Of the 34 transports of convoy PQ 17 only 11 reached nothern destination port. The rest were lost. Of the ?? tons of war cargo Soviet ports received from the ships of this convoy only 60000 tons. The losses were collusal. 210 bombers, 430 tanks, 3250 motor vehicles. This not counting basic war cargo."
