Animal Collective is amazing to listen to high, but they are just as good when you are sober. it really isn't about whether or not you do drugs, it's about whether or not you like Animal Collective.

@kassmcc2 Yes actually you do use drugs. When you run or walk, or do hard work, you get pretty baked on some endogenous peptides. And when you're scared you get a little tweaked on some epinephrine. Go meditate and you'll start rolling on some 5-hydroxytryptamine. And hey, if Dr. Rick Strassman's hypothesis was right, the last moments on your death might even consist of you tripping balls on some DMT.
Being high is a part of our brain chemistry. Intoxicating drugs exist in our minds.

I did my share of illegal activity, during which I discovered Animal Collective. It was a hazy, fun time. Now, due to life events, I can't enjoy my illegal activities anymore. I've played Animal Collective for people who looked at me with a facial expression as if to say "what is this?" I want to tell them it's like a summer day as a kid when you have a hose out and spray aimlessly to see the rainbow. This is the sonic version of that experience. Just let it soak in and relax.
