@joerules03 I'd bet they can all keep good time, but when you need 9 players to hit an entrance within 1/128 of a second of each other good time just doesn't cut it.

7th Regiment, an open class corps, placed 16th at semis
-
true. we do the same thing for my high school band. what dci corps. did you play with?
-
hmm, I marched my first DCI tour this summer and we used a combination of both duts and counting, we did it according to what the music was asking of us and the amount of space between entrances
-
i went out for tenors with them this year.
it took a while to get used to. but personally, i think it sounds pretty badass XD
-
yeah but another season is on the way!
-
I remember when this show was just hard to play standing still... to think the seasons been over for months is sooo hard!
-
true..but it might have been what they were told to do from the instructors
-
I find dutting to be very annoying especially when its loud. Completely ruins the music. They count soft which is how it should be done, No one needs to hear the drumline count- they're freakin drummers they should be able to keep good time.

they won it all last night, my corps won Class A
Yeah. Rumor has it they are turning people away left and right. I am sure they have DCA's rapped up and the season doesn't even start for 2 more months. Although awesome sounding, I find it boring. Sorry. Heard it before. I'll take Empire and Hawthorne all day over this in terms of an emotional reaction to the music. Unreal nonetheless.
